I've got the travel bug!

*This is non-nail polish related post!*

I have been itching to travel for awhile now. I haven't traveled anywhere in 3 years. The last trip I went on was Summer 2007 to England. I know I shouldn't complain that was a big trip and my first out of North America. Ever since then all I've wanted to do is go back to England and travel more. When my parents were here a few weeks ago they said they'd like to take my boyfriend and I on a cruise to Europe next summer! You have no idea how grateful and excited I was with this news. My trip to England was with friends so I'm excited to be able to travel with my parents and bf. Ever since they suggested this I've been pining over websites looking at cruise itineraries on where I want to go. We've come to the decision we want to do either Scandinavia, British Isles, British Isles + Iceland, or Iberian Peninsula. Ok, this is where you guys come in. I really need some advice, help, information, feedback, or whatever from you all on making a choice.

Here are the cruises we're considering...

Scandinavia & Russia

British Isles
Iceland/ Ireland & Scotland
Iberian Interlude

Hopefully, those links work properly. I'd love if anyone can give me some advice on some of these places. If you live in any of these locations or have visited, it would great if you could share with me some feedback. Even if you haven't visited these places let me know which one sounds most interesting to you! I'll take anything. I really appreciate it! I'm already starting to wonder what nail polishes to bring....lol I'm pathetic!

On the note of world travel. I came across a really cool website last night called Earthcam. On Earthcam you can view webcams from all over the world. I probably played on this for a few hours last night. You can sign up for free and add different webcams to your favorites so you can easily find them again. They also have features where you can you quickly time-lapse through different days or over the past 24 hours on different cams. I'm highly entertained.

I figured I'd share some of my favorite webcams I cam across!

Cape Town, South Africa
Reykjavik, Iceland
Thassos, Greece
London, England
Prague, Czech Republic
Times Square, NYC, USA
Waikoloa, Hawaii, USA
Patagonia, Chile
Malta
Niagara Falls, Canada

Ok lets just all pack our bags and take a trip around the world vacation! I think that sounds like a good plan. Now, where do we find the money trees? :P

Before I go I don't like leaving a post picture-less so here are some of my favorite pictures I took from England.

These were taken from Arundel Castle, Weymouth, Abbotsbury, London, Beaulieu, Oxford, & Portsmouth.

Where in the world would you like to travel? What is you favorite place you have visited?

Thanks for any advice and feedback you give me!

Happy Thursday!

  1. OMGosh - I want to go SO bad!! I told the hubs I want to go on a cruise the summer of 2012, you know...before the end of the world in December 2012? LOL But I'm serious about the cruise.

  2. I looked at the British Isles cruise. Exhausting! They certainly packed in a lot of places. You certainly travelled last time you came. But my cousin is American and I know you guys think a 5 hour journey is nothing. You can hardly get from one end of Pennsylvania to the other in 5 hours! The British Isles cruise has more "history" but is light on scenic beauty. Nice options to have.
I'm going to Croatia again soon. I love Paris and Milan. Didn't like Morocco. Anywhere in Europe is fine. Love the US and Canada.

  3. Wow, nice parents! I'd love to go on the Ireland/Iceland/Scotland one. Mr. K and I took his parents on a whirlwhind trip to Scotland a few years ago and I so wanted to spend more time there.

  4. My pick: Scandinavia and Russia. I'm old enough to remember when Russia was off limits. Now I would LOVE to go there.

However, whatever you do pick will surely be memorable.

    Gorgeous photos!
