Milani Dude Blue & Giveaway Winner!

I'm ready to break out the bright colors and it's still a month and half until Spring. I don't always wear colors that are in tune with the season, but for the most part I do. I don't really know why? I don't follow fashion or anything, so it's strange for me to even bother matching colors with the season. Yes..back to bright colors. I've picked up some of the Milani Neons, and I really like them. The blue one is especially nice!

Dude Blue
Dude Blue is a bright vivid medium blue creme.

This is a gorgeous bright blue! The applies beautifully too. I love the formula of this blue. It is is smooth and very creamy. I really like the Milani Neons. I'll post some more later on, but they're great shades that are for the most part wide available if not in stores, definitely online.

Now on to my "Just Because Giveaway" winner! The winner is.....

Melanie!!! Congratulations! Melanie has a blog called The Nailventuress. Thank you to all who entered. I will be having another giveaway in the near future.

Happy Monday!

Wet n' Wild Morbid

Reminder: Today is the last day to enter my giveaway!

I believe these Wet n' Wild Craze polishes are being discontinued, so I recommend looking around and grabbing them before their gone. The bottles are small, but they had a lot of great funky colors. I managed to grab a few before they were all cleared out. I really like this next one.

Morbid
Morbid is a deep black/green with a deep teal shimmer.

This color has a lot of depth to it. I really like the dark look without it being black. I have a lot of difficulty with greens and my skin tone, but I think this one would be flattering on anyone. Great rich shade! If you don't have it, I suggest you go on a look for it! :)

Happy Sunday!

Cult Nails My Kind of Cool Aid

Cult Nails is a new brand created by blogger Maria from R3 Daily. My Kind of Cool Aid is the first polish she has released. She has two other colors coming out soon called Iconic and Living Water which are available for pre-sale. You can find out how to order these polishes and more on Cult Nails on her website!

My Kind of Cool Aid

My Kind of a Cool Aid is a gray/lavender or as Maria describes it "gravender" with subtle silvery shimmer.

Everything about this polish from the color, formula, bottle, label, brush, packaging and etc is excellent. Honestly, this is probably one of the best formulas of nail polish I've ever used. She also ships out very quickly!

These polishes are $10 each, which is very high for me, but I did not flinch at her price. My father has run a small business since 1989, and I can appreciate the work, love, dedication, and passion that goes into starting up your own thing. It is evident the love and dedication Maria has put into this polish. I am very impressed. As much as I love brands like China Glaze, Zoya, and others, this polish coming from a blogger is extra special. I cannot wait to try her other colors!

I highly recommend this shade, you will not be disappointed!

Rimmel Hot Rock

I miss the Rimmel 60 Second and Lycra Pro nail polish lines. The newer Lasting Pro finish line has nice bottles, but a VERY limited selection of colors. I've only been able to find the older lines at K-Mart and Wal Mart, two stores I do not frequent. I really enjoyed the color selection of these lines, and I hope at some point they introduce a better color selection. This next polish was part of the Lycra line, and I found it all by itself in a clearance been a Walmart.

Hot Rock
Hot Rock is a warm red jelly with golden glass fleck glitter.

I love red and I love golden shimmers/glittery finishes, so the combination of these is something I cannot pass up on. This is fiery, bright, and bold. I love this vibrant and spicy shade.

Rimmel please bring us some more colors!

Happy Thursday!

Sinful Colors Forget Now

This week has shaped up to be rather unpredictable. My car died on Sunday. It completely stopped out of no where thankfully on a residential street. The wheel froze up so did the brakes. It was scary. My car had a bad computer in it and there is a recall on it. I was supposed to be getting a letter about it in March...a bit too late eh? Thankfully, Toyota towed the car and replaced the computer all free of charge. I'm thankful this didn't happen on a busy street or a freeway! It did kind of shake up my week not having a car for a bit. I'm somewhat back on track now, just have tons of school work to do. Anywho, today I have one of my favorite Sinfuls for you.

Forget Now
Forget Now is a bright fuchsia with pink and blue glass fleck glitter.

Sorry, for a bit of the blur on the photo. This was actually one of my first polishes. It became a quick favorite because it was before there were many other glass-fleck polishes out there. This is a great one though, and for a great price. If you like this type of finish you won't be disappointed with this one.  Don't ask me about the name though, Sinful Colors has some of the strangest names!

Happy Wednesday!

Color Club Untamed Luxury Diamond Collection

How about we pretend those other colors from this collection did not exist, and just focus on the good ones? The rest of this collection is really nicely done, not all of the colors are unique, but great polish colors nontheless.

Red Velvet
Red Velvet is a blackened base with red glitter suspended within. This is probably a dupe for China Glaze Lubu Heels and Milani Garnet Gems.

Snakeskin
Snakeskin is a steel gray metallic with flecks of glitter. This seems like what maybe Ms. Haute and De-Luxe-Cious was going for but didn't quite work out. This one is smooth and you can see the glitter in it. It's not chunky!

Resort To Red
Resort to Red is a red-violet shimmer. This is probably the least impression of the bunch. It's not bad, by any means, but I can probably think of 20-30 colors just like this one.

Untamed Luxury
Untamed Luxury is one of the stars of this collection. This is a blue/green sheer/jelly base with teal glitter. This one reminds me a bit of China Glaze Atlantis just with a different type of glitter.

Covered in Diamonds
Covered in Diamonds is the other star in this collection. These are iridescent flecks in a clear base. This one has its share of issues though. This isn't like Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure, the flakies in here are not smooth, and formula of this is thick. It's not easy to work, but the flakies are so pretty it's worth the extra work to me.

These colors from the collection are really nice to have. I especially like Covered in Diamonds and Untamed Luxury. If you only get these two I think you'd be satisfied.

Happy Monday!

Revlon Fire & Ice Collection

Reminder: You have one more week to enter my giveaway!

A little while ago Revlon hosted a very generous giveaway on Twitter. The first 500 people to retweet about their Fire & Ice collection would win the collection of 4 polishes and 4 lipsticks. I happened to be one of 500, and I was very excited! I received the polishes and lipsticks about 2 weeks ago. I'll be showing you the polishes.

All Fired Up
All Fired Up is your standard bright true red creme.

Demure
Demure is a light coral/nude with a subtle shimmer.

Siren
Siren is a bright tangerine creme that leans slightly towards the coral side.

Temptress
Temptress is a light bubblegum pink with a subtle shimmer.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the formula and color of these polishes. I know these are not the most original of colors, but they're great classic colors. I'd have to say my favorite is Temptress followed by Siren. It's a nice collection, and I love the accompanying lipsticks too.

Happy Sunday!

The Worst of the Worst

Usually, if I don't like a product, I don't bother posting it, however I really hated these next two colors so much I can't help with share with you my issues with them. This is purely my opinion, so please don't take offense if you love these. It's just personal taste. I think from color to formulation these just completely missed the mark.

Color Club De-luxe-cious
De-Luxe-Cious is a silvery/blue/gray frosty shimmer with iridescent glitter.

Color Club Ms. Haute
Ms. Haute is a silvery/purple/gray frosty shimmer with pinky shimmer and fine glitter.

These are part of the fall Untamed Luxury collection. I think Ms. Haute is slightly better than De-Luxe-Cious, but not by much. These just do not work for me at all. De-luxe-cious the color comes of sheer/frosty and the glitter looks clumpy. Ms. Haute looks pretty in the bottle, but on the nail just looks like a big clumpy gritty mess. It almost seems like they came up with these not-so-great frosty colors and felt that adding glitter to it would help. It just made it worse. The formula was so thick it didn't spread out evenly on the nail.

I'm really disappointed in these and with Color Club, because the rest of this collection is gorgeous! I feel bad complaining about this, but if I didn't expect much from Color Club I wouldn't care. It just doesn't seem consistent with their other collections and the rest of the colors in the collection these came from. I don't think anyone likes the look of muddy shimmer/glitter/frost in cottage cheese clumpy form on their nails? I really haven't hated colors this much since Misa Fleeting Hibiscus, and that wasn't even Misa's fault, it was the fact that color looked terrible on me. It happens though, and that's ok. I know every brand has its duds. I still love Color Club, but I just can't help but wonder what happened?

Do you have these colors? What is your opinion on them?

I'm sorry if I sounded harsh. :(

Happy Saturday!

BB Couture Sex on the Beach

Hehe, what a name! Last night, I survived a migraine from hell, but I'm thankfully SO much better than yesterday. I could use a little bit more sleep though. I love BB Couture polish even though I have very few. They definitely have a unique and attractive variety of polish including this one.

Sex on the Beach
Sex on the Beach is a red-orange jelly with golden/green iridescent micro glitter.

Just like Zoya has their signature gold shimmer, BB Couture has this signature iridescent glitter I've seen throughout many of their polishes...Hermosa Surfer Girl, Horned Devil, & Man Bug..to name a few. This is from last summer's Cantina Collection. Beautiful summery shimmer shade!

You can find BB Couture polishes at OverallBeauty.

Happy Friday!

Zoya Trixie

Have you guys ever had some terrible nightmare, and it just kind put you in a weird funk all day? I had one of those last night and I can't shake it. Sorry, I've been MIA. I've had so much reading to do for school it's really bogged me down, but I am here now and have a pretty Zoya polish for you!

Trixie
Trixie a true silver foil.

This color is bright, blingy, and you cannot get any closer to silver than this. The application of this was excellent too. This is as close to a mirror finish I think you may get with a nail polish. I'm more of a gold girl, but I can really appreciate this great silver! This was on my toes throughout the holidays, and I was very impressed. I think my toes may have blinded people though. :P

Happy Thursday!

Pure Ice Twinkle & New Doggie!!

I haven't done Pure Ice polishes in awhile. I really like Pure Ice, they have a great selection of funky and unique colors. The only downside to them for me is they're at Walmart. The Walmart closest to me isn't very good at restocking their cosmetics, so over the past few years the Pure Ice selection has whittled into almost nothing :(. I did happen to find this gem!

Twinkle
Twinkle is a warm summer peach creme with golden shimmer.

I don't even need to say it, you know why I love this. The peachy tone and the shimmer are perfect. This could easily be a $7 Zoya color, but it's a $2 Pure Ice color. Why it's called Twinkle, I do not know, but I don't care. I can make weird name exceptions for beautiful polish!

On another note, my parents adopted a dog yesterday. They were getting very lonely without a furry friend. Her name is Maggie, and she is a 4 year old Labrador mix. My parents live in Texas, so I won't get a chance to meet Maggie for a little while, but she looks like she will fit in nicely with parents. She's already claimed a spot on their bed. She will be very spoiled!

Happy Tuesday!
