China Glaze Crackle Cracked Medallion

I know, I think of all nail polish fads, the crackle may have become one of the most overdone. I only have a few crackles, but I was definitely excited about the China Glaze Crackle metals. I think after these I'm crackled out. Gold, bronze, black, & white will probably be the extend of my crackle purchases. :P

Cracked Medallion over Barielle Falling Star

Cracked Medallion is a bronze metallic crackle.

Awesome possum! Yes, I just said that. I love how this looks like gold leaf  over the polish. This crackles nicely, unlike some other brand of metallic crackle that stinks -cough- Sally Hansen. I obviously have nothing more interesting to say about this other than I love the look of this. This is a work of art on your nails.

Happy Thursday!

Essie Your Hut or Mine

I've always been a pink fan. I know that many nail bloggers don't find pinks or reds to be the most interesting of polish shades. Even though I like pinks, I understand why people don't find them the most exciting of polish shades. There are millions of pinks, and it can be difficult to find a pink that is unique. I do think this Essie really is something special. I've heard other bloggers mention even though it's a pink, it's one they like. I like it too..a lot!

Your Hut or Mine

Your Hut or Mine is a warm medium pink with a pink and gold micro shimmer

This could of easily been a yawn-worthy color, but the shimmer in this brings it to life. This is a very wearable color. It's subtle, but beautiful. There is something very dainty and girly about this color that I love. I'm terrible at describing why I like it, I just do! :P

NYX Girls Maven

**I still have quite a few items available on my blog sale. I added new items on Saturday!**

I just got done shopping for some giveaway items. You should expect a giveaway to be posted on Friday! :) It's a hot one out there. I have a lot to do today, but I'm already beat and it's just past 1:00pm. The heat sucks the life out of you. I have for you today a pretty NYX Girls glitter. I'm craving this now, it looks so icy cool!

Maven over Milani Fresh Teal
Maven is aqua iridescent glitter top coat.

I love this glitter. I love how this is specifically an aqua iridescent glitter. It flashes shades of blue and green. There are tons of iridescent glitters out there, but many of them have a white or golden translucent base. I don't see many iridescent glitters with a colored translucent base. Does that make any sense? Probably not. I'm rambling. Great pretty glitter, it's definitely not a color I already have. Yadda..yadda. yadda.... I need a pina colada.

Happy Tuesday!

OPI Do You Lilac It?

**I've received a lot of similar questions through email and searches on my blog regarding my nail care and PR stuff. I've now created a FAQ page that answers a lot of these questions. I hope this helps. :)**

Yes, yes I do lilac it! Have you ever seen a polish on someone's blog, and your instant reaction is "I need this, and I need this now"? This was my reaction when I saw Nail Noir's swatches of this color. I found the last bottle of it at Ulta, it was lying on its side. Poor little polish. When I got home a lot of the polish had seeped into the cap making it hard to open, but it was worth the struggle. This purple is splendid!

Do You Lilac It?
Do You Lilac It? is a bright pastel lilac creme.

What I love most about this color is it has this vibrancy to it. It's like this shade drank a few cans of energy drink. It's not neon or anything crazy like that, but it has more punch than your typical pastel. I love lilacs/lavenders so naturally I adore this. Great shade by OPI!

Happy Monday!

Picture of the Day:
This is my cat, Chara. Well, Chara is her formal name, we just call her "Kitty", it's all she answers to. She is completely full of herself. She is spoiled rotten. Aren't all pets? I adopted her almost 2 years ago, she was 4 then. She was in the shelter because her previous owner had passed away. She had a difficult time adjusting to a new home and had some medical issues at first. She has now definitely claimed this as her home and my boyfriend and I as her servants. She's also now in great health with some food adjustments. I love my kitty! :)

I got tagged for the Top 10 Award! I feel really bad, but I was tagged for this a few times, and I don't remember who all tagged me. I'm so so sorry <3. Thank you though for tagging me. I really appreciate it.

This list will be nail polish free :). Just beauty products, no particular order

1. Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment- My mom used to give this to me as a kid when I had chapped lips. I've swon by this ever since. I've tried other lip balms and nothing comparies.

2. Lush Lemony Flutter- Best cuticle butter ever. The end.

3. Basin Shampoo Bars- Basin only has a few stores in Orlando and Las Vegas. It's like Lush, but more affordable. I love all their shampoo bars, they don't weigh down my hair nor dry it out. Soft and silky!

4. Laura Geller Blush n Brigthen in Sunswept- I received a sample size of this in a Sephora sampler awhile ago. I've fallen in love with this shade and how it adds that beautiful glow to my skin.

5. Bath & Body Works Carried Away Body Spray- I love this scent. I've heard this one people either love or hate. This smells like raspberries., but has some more grown up notes to it. Sexy raspberry..perhaps?

6. MAC Mythology eyeshadow- I'm not a huge MAC person, but I have loved this eyeshadow for the longest time. Gorgeous coppery-pink shimmery shade. This eyeshadow goes with anything, it's so versatile.

7. Bubble Shack Hawaii Pikake Lei Refreshing Mist- One of my favorite places I've been to is Hawaii. I love the smell of Pikake which is a jasmine flower they use for leis. When I got home I couldn't find Pikake scent anywhere, but I found it online at Bubble Shack. I love this body mist it smells just like the islands. It's a great clean and crisp floral.

8. ELF Tone Correcting Powder- Ok, I just got this a few days, but I'm so in love. This powder evened out my skin tone and brigthened my complexion. I had to do a double take in the mirror. $3 only too!

9. Stella McCartney Stella perfume- Unlike my mom, who despises it. I love the smell of roses. This is a great rose scented perfume. I'm terrible at describing scents, but it's definitely a flirty and sexy rose, nothing grandma about this!

10. Milani Minerals Blush in Mai Tai- Great coral toned matte blush. Amazing quality!

I tag anyone who would like to do this, or let me know your top 10 favorite beauty products in the comments!

Happy Sunday!

Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure Part MCMXCIX

Last year, Hidden Treasure was all over the blogs, including mine. I think Hidden Treasure may of wore out its welcome to many of us, and we slowly let it disappear from our blogs to make room for newer things. Hidden Treasure, though it was out of sight on the blog, was never out of mind. I think Hidden Treasure is definitely my go-to "I'm bored of this mani, but I'm too lazy to change it" 1 minute manicure miracle. I use this polish a lot. I've made it halfway through my bottle.

Here are two manicures I've loved recently.

SH Hidden Treasure over Maybelline Goody Plum Drop

SH Hidden Treasure over Zoya Danielle
I absolutely love Hidden Treasure over lighter colors. I love it so much more over these colors than darker ones. In fact, Hidden Treasure over a sheer color like Zoya Danielle is my favorite "cleanse the palette" look.

There is something so whimsical about this combination. You know what it reminds me of? You remember the Beanie Baby craze? Remember that Beanie Baby called "Magic" it was a white dragon, and the fabric of its wings had this opalescence? It looks nearly identical to how Hidden Treasure looks over these colors. I know weird reference, but that's probably where I get the whimsy and ethereal idea.

Also, this is how nutty I am, but if Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus" painting was real, I'd imagine everything to be covered in Hidden Treasure. I know that sounds bizarre, but hopefully some of you will get it. I think aspects like that make a great nail polish color. Sure, in the end it's just nail polish, but when you an correlate the color to a memory or something inspiring or meaningful to you it makes the color extra special.

If you haven't been able to find Hidden Treasure, Nubar 2010 is a great alternative.

What are your favorite colors to layer Hidden Treasure over?

Rimmel Mania

***I've added some new items to my blog sale!***

Not all polishes are created equal. I've come across many colors. I'd say for the most part I like to love most everything on this blog. There are some stinky colors, but in general I'm overall pleased. Then there are these colors that just blow my mind. There is a difference from just loving a color, even REALLY loving a color, and being completely gobsmacked by one. This Rimmel polish, holy bananas is S-P-E-C-T-A-C-U-L-A-R!

Mania

Mania is deep inky teal duochrome with a golden-greenish iridescent micro shimmer.

Yes, it is one of those that requires a multiple photos. Depending on the light this could be an emerald green, deep teal, and various other shades of beautiful blue and green. It kind of has this syrupy look to it, that I really can't describe.I'm convinced Rimmel didn't make this, fairies, mermaids, elves, wizards or something otherworldly did. It was probably made along with the Great Rings forged for  Elves, Dwarf Lords, and Men in Middle Earth.

This is an older polish. I have no idea where it comes from or when it was made. I got this from Kari from Once Bitten. Her, Kimberly from Libby's Pink Vanity,  and I met up for lunch a few weeks ago and exchanged a few polishes. Kari did not want this one. When I got home and swatched it, I had to message her and ask if she was sure she didn't want this?!? She said it stained her nails. She's right this stains your nails, but I'm so willing to let that slide. Stain my nails all you want!

Happy Thursday!

Butter London Big Smoke

**Remember to check out my blog sale!**

There are a few times I am swayed to try a higher end brand. I think I own around 7 polishes out of the 700+ polishes I own that are over $10. I think the scary part of that is not the 7, but the 700. Lol. To be quite honest,  anytime I've paid over $10 for a nail polish I've been impressed. I never felt the polishes I spent more on were not worth the extra dough. I had heard and seen great things about Butter London, so I decided to give the a try. Will they impress me like other high end brands have?

Big Smoke

Big Smoke is a denim smoky blue shimmer.

I have to be honest here, this is the first high end polish to disappoint me. The color is beautiful, that is undeniable. Where this falls flat is the formula. I didn't find the formula terrible, but it wasn't great either. The formula wasn't any better than any other polish I own in the $4-$8 range. As great of a color it is, it isn't entirely unique (as in Deborah Lippman ATU/OPI DS Glamour/Nfu-Oh #51 unique), and with an average formula to match, it makes this a disappointing buy.

If I'm paying $14, I am certainly expecting to notice an improvement in formula and application from the usual nail polishes I apply. Even with polishes that are on the higher end of my comfortable price range for polish purchases like BB Couture and Cult Nails, have a noticeably better formula than the less expensive brands. This formula is not as good as those brands which are in the $10 range.  Perhaps, this color is just a fluke? I am doubtful I'll be purchasing this brand again, unless they create some super spectacular unique holy grail color that would negate any formula issues. Big Smoke isn't that spectacular for me to dismiss those issues.

Happy Wednesday!

Cult Nails Devious Nature

***I have posted a blog sale please check it out!***

Today, I have for you another beauty from Cult Nails. Cult Nails is a nail polish brand created by nail polish blogger Maria. What I love about Cult Nails is creator Maria being a blogger herself, creates polishes that cater to polish lovers wants and needs. It's not only her color selection that is great, but the formula of her polishes is top notch. This pink polish is no exception.

Devious Nature

Devious Nature is a cool toned berry pink creme.

What I love about Devious Nature is it's this perfect in between pink. I often catch myself in this same dilemma of I want a pink creme to wear that isn't too bright and isn't dull. I find sometimes pink cremes can fall into either one of those extremes (i.e. blinding neon or boring and drab). This one doesn't, it's a great medium shade of pink that is girly and flattering. :)

Happy Monday!

Bottle Spam Saturday: Iridescent Glitter Edition

**Be sure to vote for next week's bottle spam!**

This week's winning bottle spam was iridescent glitters. My idea of iridescent glitter is the glitter in polish that usually has a slight translucence that flashes different colors depending on the light. It's hard for me to explain how they're different from holographic glitters, but you'll understand by seeing the photos. :P

Wet n' WIld MegaLast Bloom Collection & Rant

Finally, I have the Bloom collection. The search for these turned out to be completely fruitless. I heard a tip that these were found at a grocery store here called Winn Dixie, but the one closest to me did not have them. Thankfully, Kimberly from Libby's Pink Vanity scored some for me at the Winn Dixie near her. Thank you!

Cherry Blossom

Cherry Blossom is a pale warm toned pink creme.

Sunburst
 Sunburst is pale orange creme.

Collecting Pollen
Collecting Pollen is a pale yellow creme.

Garden Hose
Garden Hose is a pale minty green creme.

Bird Bath

Bird Bath is a light blue creme.

Laughing Lilac
Laughing Lilac is a light red toned purple creme.

Very cute collection. The colors are perfect for spring. I didn't find these to be chalky or stark unlike some pastels which is huge plus! I do have a bit of a rant though.....

Wet n' Wild is starting to tick me off with their new & LE polish collections. I love Wet n' Wild, but I swear the past few collections seem to be only found at Rite Aid or other stores that don't exist here in Florida. I've noticed some collections are exclusive to Rite Aid. I know this is selfish, I'm sure, but I rely on Walgreens and CVS to find my drugstore goodies. It stinks that these collections are getting harder and harder to find.

I sent Wet n' Wild a email back in April asking if the Bloom collection would be available at Walgreens, and they didn't reply to me until June. I also asked if it was possible to purchase stuff from them online or in another way. They said it's up to the store one what they decide to put out, and they don't sell their products online. So, should I blame Walgreens? From what I gather majority of people are not finding these newer collections at Walgreens. I've heard few scores at CVS which usually doesn't carry Wet n' Wild, but not Walgreens. What's going on? I have yet to find the new Mermaid's Cove collection, and other LE makeup collections from Wet n Wild. It stinks, and I'm fairly confident I'm not going to find these at Walgreens, so I've pretty much given up on the search.

So whoever is the issue here either Wet n' Wild or Walgreens please share the wealth! If not, Wet n' Wild please consider selling your products online. You can have my money! I want to give it to you, just let me get my hands on your collections! :)

Happy Friday!
