When it comes to older polishes HTF (hard to find) polishes, I typically will of course want them, but I don't hold out much hope in finding them. I basically view them as all unobtainable. I don't actively look for them, knowing I'll be met with high prices or no results. On rare occasions I discover little outlets where I can find some gems. This one just happened to be under my nose, yet I never noticed it. Actually, a reader of this blog told me about it. This little outlet is the "Retired Lacquers" section of Victoria Nail Supply.
Now, you're not going to find any Clarins 230 here or China Glaze Out on Safari, but you'll be able to find colors from older retired collections that you typically don't see these days. Also, you find them for very reasonable prices, usually between $2.50-$8.50. This OPI lemming I had wasn't completely unobtaniable, but by using Victoria Nail Supply I paid almost 75% off what I would of paid on ebay!
Glacier Bay Blues
Glacier Bay Blues is a rich inky and steely blue duochrome shimmer. This I believe is from the 2004 Canadian collection. This flashes teal, blue, and purple. The depth of blue is stunning, depending on the light you look at in it could be rich midnight blue or a blackened mysterious teal. My description, nor do these pictures do it justice. It's not a strong duochrome, but the shades of blue in this polish are unique and really captivating to me. I think to be captivated by a nail polish color is pretty heavy! There are great and beautiful colors, but few truly captivate me. :)
What nail polish colors captivate you?
Happy Friday!
i love this polish & need to get my hands on it but all the places I find it (other than ebay) don't ship to canada...boooo :(

ReplyDeleteGreat find! I haven't ordered from VNS in a while, should go have a look again.
ReplyDeleteI love this color . I think pinks with subtle shimmers are my favorite ,
ReplyDeleteI was so mad when I realized that they were sneaking the new OPI collections on there under that link.
