Essie Your Hut or Mine

I've always been a pink fan. I know that many nail bloggers don't find pinks or reds to be the most interesting of polish shades. Even though I like pinks, I understand why people don't find them the most exciting of polish shades. There are millions of pinks, and it can be difficult to find a pink that is unique. I do think this Essie really is something special. I've heard other bloggers mention even though it's a pink, it's one they like. I like it too..a lot!

Your Hut or Mine is a warm medium pink with a pink and gold micro shimmer

This could of easily been a yawn-worthy color, but the shimmer in this brings it to life. This is a very wearable color. It's subtle, but beautiful. There is something very dainty and girly about this color that I love. I'm terrible at describing why I like it, I just do! :P

    I'm not really a fan of this shade of pink, but the shimmer makes it definetly more interesting :)

    I also really like this shade. I am getting back into my pinks - just not the ballet pinks or sheer pinks from days of old. This one almost has a tiny taste of melon to the pink. I am with ya on the red shades too. I have more reds in my stash than anything. I am always looking for the next BEST red....shimmer, glitter, cream - whatever finish - each one I have my top red fav in. My eye just goes to reds first in looking. And remember men are NUTS over red polish. It's always a big fav of theirs. I think a lot of bloggers need to ease up on the red and pink bashing. I get so I cannot take one more dark purple glitter just like they cannot take one more red. But at least play fair and swatch them. Hate when there is so much bias against red that they don't even get swatched.

    You were lucky to even find it in retail. A lot of places never got this resort collection - only the Brazlilliant collection. I had to go on line to get mine.

    Ya have to look to the secondary market. For some reason it was not put out there in all retail locations. Essie went from the spring French Affair to Brazilliant. I would have missed it entirely if it were not for bloggers. The Resort Collection is not even ON the Essie.com web site.

    I don't think bloggers bash reds or pinks. I just think it's not their cup of tea. I don't think anyone intentionally excludes red, it's just what we each personally like. I don't care for green, so I don't post it often. That's just the way it works, but I don't think it's intentionally done. :)

    I actually like that pink!  A lot of pinks look too cool on me, but this pink with it's warm golden shimmer looks like it might work well. :D
