Sally Hansen Mystic Lilac

I think Orlando is one of the last places to get new collections. At least around where I live I don't see new collections until 2-3 weeks after someone first posts them or in the case with the new Sally Xtreme Wears...2 months? I searched high and low for these and just found them 2 weeks ago. I first only found Purple Gala and didn't see Mystic Lilac. I first thought I wouldn't care for Mystic Lilac, but when I spotted at a different Walgreens I changed my mind.

Mystic Lilac

Mystic Lilac is a pale lilac-grey creme mixed in with this sea green shimmer. This is such a unique shade. They could of easily put in a silver shimmer, a gold shimmer, or a grey shimmer. I love how they chose to put in a green shimmer. It's something I never would of expected and I truly love. Polish companies you should try this more! This is a great fall shade. I love they grey-taupe cremes for fall, but I haven't seen any with shimmer lately. This a nice surprise.

The only downside to this polish is this doesn't look good on my skin tone. I'm exhibiting major lobster hands with this one. That being said, I don't really care. I love this shade!

What are some of your favorite polishes that don't work with your skin tone that you still love to wear?

Happy Thursday!

  1. I love this color, I passed on it though and got Concrete instead, which I am not regretting. 2months?! Yikes! I am still waiting for those sally hansen complete salon ones that have the wet clay color in it, have yet to spot those. boo.
I would have to say yellows, they make me feel happy but do nothing for my skin! =)

  2. Yeah, I agree with you don't know why Orlando is so behind! I still haven't found the new SH salons, or the Loreals.

Mystic Lilac is gorgeous on you!!

  3. I found the new SH's at a Walgreens on Monday. I snagged up 3 of them. Please don't ask me which Walgreens. I can visit up to 3 a day. =O I'm out driving around for my job. I think it was the one right next to the Rosen Center by the convention center, on International Drive.

  7. This one is pretty!

For me, it'd be olive green. I love olive green, but it looks bad on me cuz of all the yellow and brown. But I don't care anymore. I'm gonna buy and wear all the olive green I want, and if it looks a hot mess, then oh well. *shrug*

  11. This looks really pretty! I love mint greens and pale blues (ChG For Audrey), even though most of the time they give me lobster hands.

  12. There was this crazy gray that came out with that Orly Enchanted Forest collection and it made my hands look dead. It was so weird, I liked it but it did NOT look good on me.

  13. I'm in Orlando too and have yet to find Mystic Lilac. Which Walgreen's did you find it at?

One color that I thought I'd fall completely in love with after seeing tons of swatches of is Essie's Sew Psyched. I love it on everyone else, except for me. That color and Butter London's Yummy Mummy AND All Hail McQueen ~ guess I'll just have to love them from afar. :(
