Essie No More Film

I have very few Essies, but the ones I have I truly love. I'm starting to get into the brand more lately. I'm enjoying their recent collections, and I absolutely love that they are retail. It's nice to be able to see them at the drugstore, it's even better when I have CVS Extrabucks I can use so I can take a few dollars off the $8 price tag!

No More Film

No More Film is a deep blue-violet creme.

No More Film is part of the Essie 2012 Resort Collection. This is one of those colors that reads true in any lighting. It's not one of those that looks black on the nails. I love shades like this because they don't really scream a particular season. You could wear this easily anytime of year. I liked the formula on this too. It was smooth and easy to apply, and if you wanted you could get away with one coat.

This color is very much channeling the grape flavored Otter Pop for me. Are you all familiar with Otter Pops? They're those frozen icy popsicle things in those long plastic tubes. Each color had a specific character otter designated to it. The purple one was Alexander the Grape. LOL, very silly I know. There is your bit of trivia and randomness for the day. I now want some Otter Pops!

Happy Wednesday!

  1. No More Film is in my top twenty favs from Essie. It's a gorgeous polish and your description is spot on! It also gave me a flashback. My favorite flavor was Rip Van Lemon. I haven't had an Ott Pop in forever.

  2. Oh pretty! I've never seen this color before!  I thought it was Midnight Cami at first.

  3. Gorgeous purple! I actually only have one Essie but I want to get some more.

I grew up on Otter Pops! I love them. They bring back a lot of memories as a kid and beyond. The pink and the blue were always my favorite, but I loved them all.

  5. Ooh, the coffee stand down at the harbor sells otter pops. I think I'll just have to buy one before I go out on the boat. I haven't had one in YEARS.

  8. This one is pretty - it's one that does turn blue/black looking in a lot of lighting however. But get it into the light and it really comes into it's own.

  9. I also had a child-like craving for some ice pops recently. After getting them home I read the ingredients and mine had high fructose corn syrup. SO RUDE. That engineered sugar is disgusting. Now I am on quest to find some with regular sugar....

  10. I really want this one!  I wonder how close it is to Zoya Pinta which is on my wishlist.

  11. I adore Essie No More Film. For me it was a one-coater, which is always a winning characteristic of a polish!
