Reader Manis of the Week:
Name: Lisa N. / The Polish Playground
Location: Canada
Manicure Description: Rainbow galaxy nails inspired by TotallyCoolNails from Youtube. For my base color, I used OPI Suzi & The 7 Dusseldorfs. Then I sponged on Sally Hansen White On. After that's dried, I sponged on Sinful Color Folly, Jessica Tangerine Dreamz, American Apparel Manila, Orly Ancient Jade, and American Apparel Cameo Blue. Then taking Sally Hansen White On again, I dotted on white dots to create the effect of stars. Lastly, I applied Del Sol Ruby Slipper for some sparkle and topped it off with my OPI Top Coat for shine.
Favorite Polishes: They include Orly Rage, Orly Ancient Jade, OPI Pros & Bronze, Essie Shine of the Times, Windestine Jeweled Sand, and many more!

Name: Jenni aka Nail Art Novice

Manicure Description: I got some new Layla Holo polishes in the post and just had to do some nail art with them! Polishes used: Layla Holo Effect-Misty Blush, Layla Holo Effect-Emerald Divine. Because of the sheer nature of holo polishes, I also used some similar colours underneath them to hide my nail line (OPI-Don't Mess With OPI and Rimmel Lycra Pro-Trend Spotting). This is one coat of base colour with two coats of holo over the top. I love the simplicity and straight lines of tape manis so I did accents using both polishes and striping tape over a base of Rimmel-Silver Screen and I'm really pleased with the way it's turned out. I really like the stripes on my thumb!
Favourite Polishes: These change all the time! At the moment I'm really loving Above the Curve's Mother Earth (a gorgeous tan/copper/goldy holo) and Essie's Mojito Madness (a lovely grass green) but ask me again in a few weeks and I'll have probably changed my mind.
