Once Upon a Polish- Day at the Fair

Have you ever seen a polish and think to yourself  "This reminds me exactly of ________", either some place, some person, or some memory? That is exactly what I thought when I saw Day at the Fair. It could not be more aptly named. This color reminds me of carousels, midway games, and cotton candy. That is one of the reasons I had to have it. Kimberly, the creator of Once Upon a Polish did a great job with not only making a pretty color, but giving it the perfect name.

Day at the Fair

Day at the fair is a soft pink with golden shimmer mixed with an assortment of large and small multicolored hex glitters.

Doesn't this just scream cotton candy? It takes me back to the State Fair of Texas, and to the midway at Circus Circus Las Vegas where my dad would win me stuffed animals on vacations growing up. This polish is soft and pretty, but has the perfect explosion of glitter in it to give a bit of whimsy. The formula was also nice on this one. It was smooth, and only needed 3 coats.

Once Upon a Polish can be found on etsy. Kimberly, is currently working on restocking, and is also working on a Little Mermaid collection. I'm so excited! You can see some of her previous offerings on the sales page. In the mean time, has some nail polish jewelry in stock. Kimberly is also very friendly and easy to communicate with. She made a full size version of this polish per my request. Thank you!

Happy Monday!

  1. Pretty color.  For some reason, this is making me think of bubble gum!  I like the different sized glitters.
