Orly Wild Wisteria

*Que in Lord of the Rings music*

Hidden in many nail polish bloggers/addicts Helmers,Melmers, or other storage devices lies some incredible untried polish. It has not seen the light of day for many months or even years. This polish lies sad and depressed in the darkness of this cavernous container...hoping and wishing.... for the day its master will re-discover the beauty it once had. This is the story of Orly Wild Wisteria......

Orly Wild Wisteria

Wild Wisteria is a deep saturated blue-toned purple creme.

I bought this color back in 2009, and it's been sitting in the dark until I rediscovered it as a great base for Cult Nails Unicorn Puke. I forgot how much I absolutely adored this color. It is really the perfect dark purple creme. I don't think this is too dark either. I love how this color is so saturated. I get that fall colors lately are usually laced with some traces of gray to give them this "dusty" look, but I love straight up color. This is so rich and vibrant. I have this on my toes now, and I don't want to take it off! I even want to be all matchy-matchy and paint my nails with it too!

This color as many dupes or near dupes. As far as I know Zoya Pinta and OPI Sapphire in Snow are dupey to this, so if you have those you don't need this and vice versa. I'm so glad I rediscovered this! I feel bad for leaving it in my Helmer for 2 years :(.

What is a polish you neglected that you recently rediscovered?

Happy Wednesday!

  1. This looks great on you!

Hehe, I'm definitely guilty of having a HUGE number of untried polishes in my Helmer and random plastic shoe boxes. But it is fun when you "re-discover" a forgotten polish. Shopping your own stash is like a surprise present!

  3. Ooooh! It's a purple...that means I automatically like it.

Pretty much everything that isn't on my nail rack is neglected for the pretty ones on display :(

  4. Ooh, HUGELY guilty of this. I have an indecent number of beautiful untrieds. This is one of my favorite collections, I actually like most of the polishes from that Orly fall.

  20. I do have issues with keeping untrieds as low as possible (failing a bit lately...) so I always have the feeling I am neglecting other pretties. Luxery problems are the worst ;)! I like this a lot in your swatch!

    What a nice color!
I neglect a lot of my polishes... It's terrible :P
I buy some, wear it once and buy new ones xD

  22. This is a huge classic in my mind. Hang on to it (which is not too hard considering how much we get from a Orly bottle in quantity). Something about the softness of how the purple comes through the blue just rocks in this one over others that look to be close to this.
