OPI Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ

I've been hearing raves about Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ since I got into nail polish. I always had an interest in the color, but never got around to getting it until recently. I also really like the name, even though it gets picked on a lot.

I was born and raised in Texas, but to be honest I don't consider myself much of Texan. I don't have Texan pride. There is one thing about Texas I will always stand by, and that's that they have the absolute best BBQ. That is something I miss living in Florida, they just don't do their BBQ right! I could get into a discussion on what I think makes good BBQ, but this a nail polish blog...:P

Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ
Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ is a deep plummy brownish-red creme.

This color is fabulous. A great classic dark creme. It dries super shiny. I love this sophisticated shade. I wouldn't call this an all-time favorite, but it's a definite color I'm glad to have in my collection. This looks great as a mani or a pedi.

Happy Thursday!

  1. How funny! I was born, raised, and live in Texas, and I'm one of the *very* few that can take or leave BBQ. It is the best here... but I'm not always in the mood for it.

    Great polish!

  8. I'm from Texas originally too and now I'm in California... I can NOT find anyone here who knows how to BBQ, it is ridiculous!

Everytime I go back to Texas, its like BBQ every day so I can get my fix! (I also LOVE William's fried chicken livers and can't find that here at all... hope they don't make a nail polish for that though. haha!)

  13. Just as an FYI, this BBQ is Chicago-specific - this nail polish is from the Chicago collection; Mrs. O'Leary's cow kicked over the lantern that started the Great Chicago Fire. So it's a pretty morbid BBQ, haha!

  14. Absolut Law - Oh my god, I had no idea!! OPI usually picks such cheesy names, this time they actually have a really interesting one!

That fire killed 300 people at least.

Thanks for pointing that out, I seriously would have never known. haha!
