Sinful Colors- Cream Pink & Giveaway is Imminent!!!

Hey everyone. I took my final this morning. It was OK. I think I passed and will get the A I was wanting in the class. I get so anxious and stressed about school I make myself crazy. Anyone else get this way?

Today's NOTD is Sinful Colors Cream Pink these are $1.99 at Walgreens.

My camera didn't capture how bright this pink is. It's not highlighter pink but it is a bright slightly neon pink. What's strange about this is it isn't a true creme. It has a very and I mean very subtle gold shimmer that is completely unnoticeable unless your nails are right up to your eyes or you are in bright light. Overall it looks like a creme. This is one of my favorites because it's probably the one nail polish color I've gotten the most compliments on. People seem to love this pink. It would look great on tips or toes. I used 2 coats.

Moving on..As of now I have 41 followers. When I hit 50 followers I will be hosting my first giveaway. Today I gathered up some goodies for you guys that I hope you will like. So, as soon as I reach my 50 followers I will posting the giveaway and its guidelines.

However, since I know you're curious I will show you what I will be giving away. I won't tell you what each thing is yet, but I'll give you a picture. All this stuff is brand new & never used.

Happy Wednesday! Half way through the week!

Recent Swatches, Your Best Buys, & Deals

I have to say I'm not looking forward to today. I have a final exam tomorrow for my Business Math class, so I'm going to be studying ALL DAY. I feel completely unmotivated, but I'll get it done. I figured I only need to get a 55 on the final to finish the class with an A, but I'm perfectionist I want an A on the final. :P Anyways, here are some swatches of my recent purchases. Enjoy!

Hard Candy-Lava

Wow! This is a winner polish for me. It really looks like lava. I'm sorry I couldn't capture a better photo. I have noticed my camera has a hard time capturing any reds with glitter. This is a red orange with flecks of gold glitter through out. It is a HOT color, which I love! I used 2 coats.

Sally Hansen- Antique Bronze

This is a color I never would buy. I have no copper or bronze colors and I don't know why, because I really do love bronze/pink lip glosses and lipsticks. I decided to push myself and got this one. It reminds me a lot of a nail polish version of MAC Mythology eye shadow. It's pinkish copper/bronze frosty metallic with tiny flecks of holographic glitter. Honestly, I don't even notice the glitter on my nails only in the pictures so it's very subtle. I do love this color and I think I'll be wearing it later on this week. I used 2 coats.

Now on to everyone's best buys of the week! I appreciate all of your comments!
Jean of War Paint got
-Milani-Sugar
-Milani- Parfait
-NYC- Sun Goddess
all for $8 @CVS because she had $3 extra bucks from CVS Rewards.
She said CVS is having a deal right now where if you spend $10 on Revlon products you get $3 CVS extra bucks! Her Revlon purchase consisted of Minted, Gumdrop, and Cotton Candy.

Tip: If you all do not have a CVS rewards card. I definitely recommend you get one! I get some amazing coupons by using it and you sometimes get extra bucks you can use on things in the store depending on your purchases.

Bec of Bec's Beauty Buzz really hit the jackpot this week she got 35 bottles of nail polish for $69.27 on Ebay!
-3 Color Club lots of 5 for $5
-Orly Foil FX Collection, Poison Apple, & Enchanted Forest ($23)
-China Glaze Sci Fi, Emerald Sparkle, & Flip Flop Fantasy. ($11)
-Nubar Polish Prisms Absolute and Brilliant ($13)
-Essie Ridge Filler, First Base, Good to Go, Apricot Cuticle Oil, Quick-e Drying Drops, Shine-e and Millionails all for $7.27!

Around her town she picked up
-4 chrome polishes for $5 each
-2 matte polishes and some nail decals from the BYS range for $33

I think this haul deserves a standing ovation!

Tip: Ebay is a great place to look for polishes. You can also find polish lots for reasonable prices. Just make sure to check your seller's ratings before you bid or buy!

I also wanted to point out a great deal going on at CVS too thanks to tips from Nouveau Cheap & Polish Beauty Blog. Right now N.Y.C. & Rimmel cosmetics are BOGO free, but that's not all if you go to RedPlum you can print off coupons for a $1 off N.Y.C. Products & $1 Rimmel Products. So, basically you are going to pay next to nothing for 2 products from N.Y.C. & Rimmel. Sounds like a plan to me. If you're confused (because I know it's a mouth full) you can click on Polish Beauty Blog for a more detailed explanation of this deal.

That's it for today. Time to study -blech-

What were your best buys last week?

When initially making my blog, one thing I really wanted was for my readers to have a part in it. I think what I'm going to do once a week is showcase readers best buys of the week. On Mondays at the end of my post whatever it maybe I will ask you all to put in my comments what was the best nail polish/product buy you found in the past week.

I want you to include...

-What you bought (nail polish/nail product/anything that has to do with nails)?
-How much you spent?
-Where did you get it from (online counts too)?
-Optional Give a description of the polish (color, finish, etc)

Note: This is open internationally. If you are from another country and found something great in a store that can only be found in your part of the world, that's totally fine. I'm sure there will be readers from your area looking for great deals too!

Then on Tuesday I will post everyone's best buys, and if you are a blogger I will provide a link to your blog along with your best buy. There are a few reasons I want to do these posts. I really want to provide people with affordable options. I'm not a book of knowledge either, so I know having others contribute will only help things.

I also am new to blogging and I've noticed some people I've started following or have followed me are fairly new too. I hope by linking your blogs to your best buy I can help bring readers to your blog. I don't ask this to be reciprocated at all! I see nail blogging as a community. I follow over 100 nail blogs and each and everyone one of them offer something different and are worth reading. I think it's great that so many of us have this fun hobby that we'd like to share with each other and anyone else interested.

I hope this makes sense. I'd like to start this today, so in the comment section let me know your best buy and the other information I listed up there. This is open to anyone bloggers, non-bloggers, international readers, Vulcans, Klingons, and etc. Ok, just kidding about he Vulcans and Klingons. I had to slip in my Star Trek nerdiness in there somewhere. All best buys will be posted in tomorrows blog.

Note: This will just be a part of my daily blog that day. I will also be blogging about other things, this will just be a weekly addition.

Ok, to end of so this isn't entirely boring. I know us nail people love pictures. I will leave you off with one of my favorite frankens I made.

This is half Pure Ice-Siren mixed in with half Cover Girl- City Lights. I haven't named it yet. Any suggetions?

Yay for holographic red. I love it. You can use any creme red you'd like with this. I used more or a warm-toned red, but a cool-toned would look great too.

That's all for now. I look forward to everyone's best buys!

Spring Favorites & My Crazy Nail Polish Dream

To start out I wanted to show you all some of my favorite colors for spring. Now, of course you can wear these colors year round. I don't follow fashion laws or trends really. Nail polish is just fun for me, so I wear whatever color I want to wear. I suggest you all do that too, don't be shy to wear a bright green in winter or a dark burgundy in summer!

Click on any picture to enlarge

These are just a few options and it was difficult to narrow down. I do know what you are thinking, where is the mint green? The most popular color this spring. I know, I know, I know. As I mentioned before in previous blog I have yet to find the perfect mint green for me, so I don't really have any. Greens are difficult color for me to pull off. I will be blogging about this soon, and I will be needing your help and suggestions on my quest for the perfect mint green. Hehe.

Anyways, I had a funny dream last night. I dreamed that I went to this brand new Dollar Tree and they had all this nail polish. They had hard to find ones, limited editions ones, and expensive brands all for $1. In my dream I filled up 3 carts full of nail polish, it was amazing. It was one of those dreams that seemed so real, and then I woke up. :(. Oh well, it was a nice dream!

Have a restful Sunday!
