Sinful Colors Glass Pink

I feel like I haven't ventured into Sinful Color land in awhile. They need to make some new colors. I love the brand, but I'm getting tired of re-promotes! :( Here is a color that is not typical for me, but I really love it.

Glass Pink
This is Glass Pink layered over Milani Tip Toe Pink on my index and ring fingers and on its own on my middle and pinky fingers.

Glass Pink is a pale pink packed with glass flecked glitter.

I'm not usually one for sheer shades like this, but this is build-able and looks great layered over other colors. I love the softness of this color. I really like more subdued colors that are "amped" up with shimmer and glitter. This fits the bill. It's soft with a bit of pop!

Happy Thursday!

Essie Dive Bar

This next polish after some research I figured out is an exclusive to Walmart. Essie has started to show up in Walmart stores. There are few changes which I found were explained well on Polish or Perish. I am in *LOVE* with this polish. If I had got this in 2010 this would of been in my Top 20 list!

Dive Bar
Dive Bar is a deep blackened teal shimmer.

*Cue in Disney Cinderella's "So This is Love" music."

I am in love. In the bottle this looks like it has a slight purple duochrome, but that doesn't show up on the nail. That is OK, this polish is amazing without it. I love how the light touches the polish where it's bright in the middle and fades to black on the sides.

The only reason I don't really like Essie at Walmart is because I don't shop there. I know Polish or Perish mentioned in her blog that she fears these displays will get trashed. I fear the same, well I know it will be trashed. The Walmart closest to me the whole cosmetic section is an absolute dump. Nail polish is all over the display, products that have been bought out have been restocked in years, and it's an overall nightmare. The entire store looks like someone ransacked the place. However, I've never seen a full display of Essie, and it is more conveniently located to me than Ulta. So it's bittersweet.

What do you think of Essie at Walmart?

Happy Wednesday!

Zoya Milla

Have you all particpiated in the Zoya Facebook offer yet? If you "Like" Zoya on Facebook you have access to a code where you can get 3 free polishes and only have to pay shipping (US Only). You all will think I'm crazy, but I almost didn't even bother with this offer. Zoya has had so many great offers in the past few months I no longer had a wishlist from them! However, I decided it would be silly not to partake. This is a Zoya color I've taken a liking to. I haven't seen it mentioned in many other blogs, but I think it needs some credit!

Milla
Milla is a red-coral jelly with a cooler toned iridescent glass fleck glitter throughout.

I think this shade is a lighter/more orange/jelly version of Nidhi. They're definitely not dupes, and I'm glad to have both. Milla kind of reminds me of a frozen strawberry daiquiri. I love the combination of the jelly finish and the glass fleck glitter.

What Zoyas did you pick up or are planning to pick up with their special offer?

I got LC, Audrina, & Crystal.

Happy Tuesday!

China Glaze Rain Storm

I miss the rain! It hasn't rained here in a long time. It usually rains everyday in summer, but in winter we got weeks without rain. I'm craving a good thunderstorm. In honor of my need for rain here is a great China Glaze color I found recently. I hope it will bring me some rain.

Rain Storm
Rain Storm is a light periwinkle blue shimmer with sparse blue and silver glitter.

The glitter in this makes this color original. It's subtle, but still noticeable. This is a beautiful shade of blue. It's very spring-like. My only issue with this one is it is very sheer. This was around 3-4 coats which isn't terrible, but once you get to 4 coats that's a lot for me. You could definitely layer it over a color like Sally Hansen Pacific Blue or a similar periwinkle creme to lessen the number of coats of Rain Storm.

Happy Monday!

Essie Angora Cardi

Welcome to 2011! I must say after New Years Eve, I'm pretty much over all the holiday festive stuff. I don't wait until after New Years Day. It was down first thing this morning. I love the holiday season, but once it's over I'm ready to return to normalcy! My first mani of the new year is subdued one. I think I'm a bit glittered out from the holidays. I'm sure that won't last long, but I need a break from the insane removal processes of glitter!

Essie Angora Cardi
Angora Cardi is a dusty plum/mauve creme.

Very simple, but very beautiful. I think this is a very sophisticated and chic color. I think this would be flattering on all skin tones. This is one of those shades I could wear for an extended amount of time. It's just suitable for anything really. I hope that makes sense. Plus, the formula of this was amazing. This could be a one coater if you wanted it to be, but I feel better doing 2 coats. It's just like butta!

I actually got this one at Walmart. They had a full display of Essie colors. It was the first time I've seen such an extensive selection of Essie. The price was $7.75 which is what 25 cents less than the original price? This is a brand that is high for me, but it was nice to try some out since they were so convenient.

Happy Sunday!

P.S. Make sure to check out my new poll!
