Zoya Gwin

I'm sure many of you are ready for spring! I'm not really ready for spring. I love the weather we've been having here in this Florida so-called winter. We've been having a lot of high temps in the upper 60's and lower 70's and that is my favorite kind of weather. I know for many of you that type of weather is your spring or summer! I have absolutely no idea what real winter is like. The idea of snow sounds fun (I hear a collective groan from northerners), but I'm sure it's miserable. I wish we could have Florida "winter" weather year round. Anyways, here is a cheerful springy color to wash away the winter blues for some of you.

Zoya Gwin
Gwin is a warm melon orange with golden-orange-green iridescent duochrome shimmer.

Gwin came out in the Zoya Reverie Spring 2010 collection. This collection had a bunch of warm medium toned colors with duochrome shimmers. I love this orange. It's warm and cheerful, and a great color for spring. I really loved this collection because it wasn't your standard spring pastel collection. I know spring is all about pastels, but it's nice to see a twist on a different idea. This color applied easily and nicely!

Happy Friday!

  1. Gwin looks great on you. This is one of the few Zoyas that I've actually traded away. FL winters sound a lot like Phoenix winters. I'd love this weather all year round.

  2. It is 37 today and it feels positively balmy. I'm contemplating opening a window just to let the house air out a bit! LOL

I like this color and I don't see swatches of Gwin often.. if ever! Fun!

  4. This is really pretty on you. I never gravitate toward oranges, although I have a few - I actually don't think I've ever seen Gwin mentioned before, but she is pretty.

I know exactly what you mean about the "winter" weather. I also wish we had that weather year round in PR, it's already getting hot and I can tell this summer will be sweltering again.

That orange looks fabulous on you! I think orange makes my hands look clownish because of my skin tone but it looks so good, I wish I could pull that off. Or at least have the confidence to not care. Alas, that is not the case.

Love this color! Florida winters sound nice! Here in Texas the weather is extremely bi-polar during this time of the year, but I'm so ready for spring weather.
