China Glaze Prismatic Collection

*Hey everyone! I have a guest post over at iHeartPrettyPolish today. Be sure to check it out and follow Essie's blog. She's a great blogger and very sweet too!

I know, the China Glaze Prismatic collection was out like half a year ago. I've had this collection swatched and ready to blog about for ages. What held me back? I had no idea how to describe these colors. I usually like to try to give my own descriptions of colors in my blog unless it's items I get for review. These just stumped me though because they are so complex, and I was too lazy to try to come up with something on my own. So, these swatches have just sat around for months. Guilty. I finally just sucked up my pride, and will use the official descriptions of these polishes by China Glaze. These can't sit around forever, and I'm still lazy to come up with something on my own. :P

Full Spectrum

Full Spectrum- Baby pink bursts into holographic magenta to party with silver, gold, blue, pink and green particles.

Liquid Crystal

Liquid Crystal- Bright blue holographic with purple tint dusted with silver, gold, green, pink and orange.

Optical Illusion

Optical Illusion- Aqua green glimmers with a hint of purple filled with pink, yellow, silver, orange and green
flecks.

Polarized

Polarized- Silver metallic sheen sprinkled with yellow, pink, orange and green glitters.

Prism

Prism- Grape purple holographic gleams with pink shimmer and glitters with pieces of pink, blue, green, orange, silver and gold.

Ray-Diant

Ray-Diant- Greenish-gold shimmer filled with specks of silver, pink, green, orange and blue.

-sigh- I don't think China Glaze found describing these polishes easy either. Their descriptions are somewhat nonsensical and confusing.

Hmm, basically these are some really complex glitters. They have these cool duo-chromey sheens to them, they are super metallic, blingy, and have random multi-color glitter throughout. Usually, when I take a lifetime to review a collection it's because I don't like it, and can't figure out what to say about it. This is not the case for the Prismatic collection. I bought the whole collection! I really love these, they just happen to absolutely stump me because they are just that complicated. I've never had so much trouble describing polish before. That being said, these are entirely unique. I like these. I would actually recommend that a polish addict at least pick up one or two of these for their collection.

Thankfully, these have not disappeared into oblivion where you cannot get them any more despite my long delay in posting them. You can purchase these on Trans Design, Victoria Nail Supply, and Head2Toe Beauty

  2. This was such a cool collection! My favorite is Ray-Diant. It's at the top of my ChG shopping list.

  3. I like these in theory, but I can't imagine wearing them. They're just a bit too blingy for me, what with the metallic, chrome, and glitter effects. I think these would work best (for me, at least!) as a nice accent in a polish ring. But I typically prefer more sedate polish, so I'm sure I'll be heavily outnumbered here ;)
