China Glaze Little Drummer Boy

"Come they told me, pa rum pum pum pum.."

I couldn't help it. That's what you get for naming a color after a Christmas song. I can't help but sing it. Since I was unable to hold off from posting my Xmas background to a more appropriate time (I know Nov 1 was early), I figured I would hold off on posting Xmas colors until after Thanksgiving. I somewhat contained myself. I LOVE this time of year. I'm excited they started up the 24/7 Christmas radio station. Despite the 80F degree weather and humidity.. I am in the Christmas spirit!

Little Drummer Boy

Little Drummer Boy is a deep navy/midnight blue shimmer. I wouldn't call this a true navy, it has like a touch of gray to it. This color is bold, but it has a softness to it as well. It has a coziness to it. Hopefully,  that makes any sense. I'm terrible at describing things!

I love dark blues. I think this one is great! I think this particular shade is very different from anything I have. I know this one doesn't scream "holidays", but it does remind me of a the night sky possibly on winter evening? There I go with my imagination again. That probably made no sense. This color just seems to suit winter to me. I'll stop there before I start talking about other wintery things or break out into another Christmas carol!

Happy Saturday!

  1. I'm really liking this color! And it looks great on your fingers.

  2. usually I'm not too much of shimmer finish, but this is a nice shade, it's not the -forget me- usual boring navy
(I don't want to be misunderstood, of course I DO own more than a navy lol)

  3. Very seasonal color! I really like the background~

  4. This is gorgeous! Perfect for the winter :)

  5. Can you believe I didn't get this one? I think I'm changing my mind! It loves very nice on you. :)

  6. I just knew I had to have this blue when I first saw it!

But looking at it again, does this colour look very similar to Blk-Bilabong or is it just me?

  7. You should check out W&W Wild Shine in Blue Moon. A gorgeous deep blue (that doesn't look black) with a very subtle green shimmer. I put a coat of ChG's Fairy Dust over it and it looked just like an icy, winter, night sky (well, if you're far enough away from city lights to actually SEE stars).

  8. This is probably my favorite of the ChG holiday colors this year, but I still haven't worn a full mani of it. It looks awesome on you!

  9. this looks so awesome on you!!! i need to get it out of my untrieds, I thought it was just another "boring" blue!
