Sally Hansen Sugar Coat- Razzleberry

You all remember blue-raspberry candy/stuff as a kid? Come on now, we all know we didn't want that flavor because of the raspberry, we wanted it because it was blue! I don't even like that flavor, but I had to have it as a kid. You know all that junk stained our mouths and tongues blue for days. Our parents must of loved us to not mind that!

Today, I have for your Razzleberry which is one of Sally Hansen's Sugar Coats. Of course it's blue..but it's..raspberry...err razzleberry. Please don't eat this.

Razzleberry
Razzleberry is a bright medium blue textured creme.

Color: This color is vibrant and bright. This is much more flattering and probably more forgiving than Sour Apple. I have not worn this as a full mani yet, but I heard this stains. I'd try to double up on base coat.

Formula: This was average. I didn't have any major noticeable problems with. This one was easier to apply than Sour Apple. I used 2 coats.

Texture: The texture is bit nicer on this one than Sour Apple. The texture isn't off-putting or bothersome. I will say this is a bit more textured than the Milani Textured Creams.

Price: I think I paid around $6 for this at Target.

Oveall: Nice blue texture polish. I like it. I'm not in love with it, but it's a good polish!

My Rating: 4 out of 5 Paint Splatters
Happy Thursday!

  1. I love the textured look of these and just bought one the other day! I bought Sour Apple and just checked out your review – I hope it isn’t too bad when I try it! I love this blue one though and it totally does remind me of blue-raspberry candy as a kid!

I really like the look of the texture with this bold blue colour! I’ll have to pick this one up next time I’m out!

I love your drawings and have been silently following. What kind of ink do you use for your drawings? And do you ink before or after you watercolor?

  4. Yes, all because of the color :) Blue candy is the best, lol. Well, maybe second to green. This is a great shade on you and it looks very cool in texture!

  5. This is a beautiful polish. I used this in a 4th of July mani along with the red and white Sugar Coats and it looked great. This really feels nice on and I like the texture a lot. I used this blue only on 1 nail and glad I did as it stained badly and was the devil to get all the staining off my cuticles. Cleanup is a pain but I love this polish!

  6. Sour Apple may look better on you than me. My skin tone is finicky with pale greens. The blue one rocks though. It's hard to go wrong with blue!

  7. Thank you! I was tempted by the blue slurpee yesterday at 7-11, but I convinced myself otherwise. Blue teeth and tongue isn't very appealing on an almost 27 year old.

  8. Sounds like a cool mani! Ugh, yeah I'm not sure what you can do to prevent staining. I don't think layering on the basecoat helps in some cases.
