China Glaze Sugar High

I can't tell you how many times I want certain polishes from collections after the fact. I look back on collections from 2009 or 2010, and see polishes I stuck my nose up at then, that I really want now. This was the case with China Glaze Sugar High from the Spring 2010 Up & Away collection. I saw this one on Pinterest a few months ago, and I couldn't stop thinking about it. The problem is, it's not a core line polish, so I couldn't just hop in the car and pick it up at Sally's or Ulta. I wanted to avoid paying shipping for just one polish, so I asked around for any dupes. There are not any known dupes, so I caved and got this off Amazon. I'm glad I did!

Sugar High

Sugar High is a warm-toned bubblegum pink creme.

When I say bubblegum pink, I'm not kidding! This is exactly the color of bubblegum. This color is pigmented and bold. I do not know of any other colors like this, hence why I had to get it. My only complaint is the formula is on the thick side, but a few drops of thinner fixed it up. Overall, this a great vibrant pink that I think even non-pink lovers would like.

Happy Tuesday!

  4. It's gorgeous! I do the same thing.  I also do it with polishes I own. I declare that I 'hate' them and stash them away, only to fall madly in love with them a year later. I actually bought a color, gave it away, then re-bought it months later FORGETTING that I had already had it and "hated" it.  Issues :)  It's also fun (/annoying) to have to go on "the hunt" for a color sometimes :)

  6. I love love love Sugar High! I think China Glaze has put out some great spring collections the past few springs. I bought most of Up & Away, Anchors Away & Electropop. I guess I'm just a sucker for bright springy cremes

  8. I just bought this color too! Im the same way- I hate on colors for not being unique enough the first time around only to end up lemming for them a year or few months after.

  11. Oh wow! That's so pretty! And I totally know what you mean about passing on colors and regretting it later; I do it all the time. So frustrating because I'm like you and hate paying shipping for polishes. Great pic!

  12. Been a standard I think for every collector to put into their collections. This is a perfect formula and works always all spring and summer long - including in winter when I am sick of holiday/fall shades and need a perk up!

  13.  You got a great fun shade for your first CG polish! That one is liked by many...but wait until you try one of CG's amazing creams. Yours had that touch of neon pigment in it that changes the formula.
