OPI Road House Blues

I have been extremely disappointed with the year's fall collections. I know I've mentioned this a few times. I've completely avoided a few collections, while with the others I just get 1 or 2 polishes. I must say though despite my disappointment, I do consider it bittersweet. The stinky selection does save me money! I do love this OPI from the Touring America collection.

Road House Blues

Road House Blues is a deep indigo creme.

Perfection. I love a good dark blue creme. This definitely reads blue, it doesn't look black on the nails. I don't have much else to say other than I really like this color. I hate that. It doesn't need much pomp and circumstance though. It's an overall great blue!

Happy Friday!

  2. I've avoided the fall collections completely with few exceptions.  I got Skyscraper and CG in the City from China Glaze - I love both of them so much!  I completely skipped Essie, OPI, and Color Club which is something I never do.  I'm excited for a few polishes from the Orly Birds of a Feather Collection though.  And I totally agree:  the lack of fall purchases helps me save for those holiday collections I'm sure to want.  ;D

  3. This looks lovely on your nails. I completely missed out on Touring America but I'm not too bummed because none of the colors really blew me away. All the collections were waaay too similar this fall.

  4. I agree, it is a nice blue indeed.  I wonder how we can still differ all these thousands of different nail color shades ;-)

  6. I warmed up to some in the Essie collection which I did not expect I would. I do like a # of them in the Zoya 2 collections - more from Mirrors than Smoke. Zip from CG Metro. I bought 2 from that collection and probably only will keep Skyscraper because I have been looking for dusty lighter denim blue shades. I don't have access to many brands like NYC and drug store brands (despite Essie is there now). Very underwhelmed since the bottle shots, then the swatches from OPI. I am lemming that one shade Fowl Play in the Orly collection to see if I will be happy using it vs my precious don't want to use it up OPI Merry Midnight - despite it's not a real dupe. MM is much prettier. Collections seem all over the boards from brights to more typical dusty and darker shades. Have to admit the brights in fall collections have surprised me - but then everything is going right now in fashion. I think someone should have done more teals for fall as that is shaping up to be an it fall wardrobe and accessory shade it seems.

  7. So it's not just me!  The fall collections have for the most part left me cold:  I did pick up 2 from CG and 3 from Zoya Mirrors, but the rest are bo-ring!  This is a lovely blue creme, but I have enough close to it that I can pass.

  8. I will agree with you that in a general blanket, I'm not thrilled with the collections...but there have been a couple from several collections that have caught my attention.  This one does look nice, and I think needs to be on my list to pick up

  10. Thats my favorite from this collection too! So pretty on you. Reminds me of ChG First Mate, I wonder how they compare, if you have it, and find time, I'd love to see a comparison of the two! (:

  11. What a pretty blue! I got the Touring Collection, but have only used a few colors from it so far. Guess that shows how 'badly' I really needed it. lol.

  14. It does look very nice on you.  I wish I could wear blues, unfortunately I am Teal Only.

I don't like the Essie or OPI fall colors very well but am lusting after Butter London.  WALLIS DO WANT but is sold out on their site.  I hear that ULTA carries them now but my local store doesn't have any yet.

  15. I actually completely skipped this collection, lol! I walked by it in the store and nothing grabbed me as something I had to have. This is a pretty blue on you though! I want a few from the Color Club, I picked up my four picks from Metro, I now have Zoya thanks to Zara...I also nabbed a few Finger Paints and am still looking for Orly. I think that's it! There are some Halloween polishes I want though. And lots of holiday stuff!

  16. Oh that's a nice blue indeed, it looks great! I don't think I have such a dark blue creme in my collection, hmm.
On a sidenote, hope you'll get the polish soon :/
