Color Club Masquerading

I have to be honest Color Club is a brand that is very hit/miss & love/hate for me. Color Club has produced one of my all time favorite colors Pucci-licious. However, I've been disappointed big time, by a lot of their shades and formulation. This inconsistency makes it hard for me to really feel anything more than "meh" about them overall. I do however, like this shade from the Alter Ego collection.

Masquerading
Masquerading is a smoky teal frost/chrome.

I know frost is not the most welcomed word in nail polishes these days. Honestly, when it comes to your typical non-original colors, I get it. It's not the most flattering of finishes. However, when it comes to unique and original colors I actually really like the frost finish. I also really like it because it's not shade that I'd typically like. I'm really pleasantly surprised by this color. It reminds me of the color of black pearls. :)

It also gets this song in my head. I like the Carpenters version.

Is there nail polish brand you have a love/hate relationship with? Why?

Happy Tuesday!

NYX GIrls Turks & Caicos

I'm getting in the vacation spirit. On Sunday, I'm leaving for a week long Caribbean cruise. I cannot wait! I haven't been on vacation in 4 years. I'm definitely looking forward to the relaxation.I'll miss you guys though. You all want to come in my suitcase? No worries, I'll be having some guest posts next week. Anywho, I figured this was a nice NYX color to get in the Caribbean spirit, although I'm not going to Turks & Caicos. Oh well!

Turks & Caicos

Turks & Caicos over Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue
Turks & Caicos is a sheer medium blue jam packed with intense iridescent glitter.

This color reminds me a lot of the China Glaze specialty glitters as far as consistency. This is buildable, but it takes around 4 coats. I personally prefer this layered. I think it looks great over the blue, but I'm sure it would look great over other colors!

Happy Monday!

Bottle Spam Saturday: Holo Edition

Holos! Holos are polishes in hindsight I wish I appreciated more in my earlier nail polish days. I got into the nail polish just as these were getting sold out on e-tailers. I got a few things, but I should of got all was that available at the time. Today's bottle spam, is of the holo variety! These are scattered holos and linear holos. I almost included polishes with holo glitter, but we'd be here all day. That will be another Saturday!

China Glaze Cha Cha Cha

Green polish and I have a rocky relationship. Green typically isn't the best color for me, unless it's a deep green or a turquoise green. I find this frustrating because green is probably one of the most popular colors among nail polish fanatics. I tend to pass up on most greens, but the latest summer China Glaze green caught my eye.

Cha Cha Cha
Cha Cha Cha is a lime green with an intense gold shimmer.

What I love about this color is the intensity of  the shimmer. This looks like green stainless steel. It really does look metallic. What I don't love about this color is how it looks on me. It makes my hands look dirty and ruddy. I kind of figured that while purchasing, but it is a fantastic green. I want to hang on to this one because it's so pretty, maybe I can make it work somehow?

Happy Friday!
