Way-Cool Mani Wednesday: Busted Fancy Pants

I've really been trying to shop my stash lately. This hasn't stopped me from buying new polishes, but it at least it has me re-visiting some stuff that hasn't been used in awhile. I'm challenging myself every week to do a mani using nail polish that is 1 year or older in my stash. This week I used two!

Polishes Used: China Glaze Fancy Pants and Pure Ice Busted

Fancy Pants actually has a subtle shimmer to it, but I wanted to amp it up. I wanted to steer clear from glitter, that is always my go-to, but I'm trying to go outside the box. I found Pure Ice Busted. This is probably one of my first polishes I ever bought when I got into nail polish. It is probably 5 years old. I had to revive it with some thinner! It all worked out nicely!

Happy Wednesday!

  1. I have PI Busted in my collection but I haven't used it yet! I keep waiting for the perfect layering idea to pop in my head.

  2. Gorgeous combo!! I have both of these and they are fantastic polishes. Fancy Pants also looks amazing with a red/green color shifting topcoat on top (I used Girly Bits Shift Happens once and it was amazing!). Also, I remember buying Pure Ice Busted when I first got into nail polish because of Chloe's Nails (Busted and Heartbreaker!!). They are both so great for layering!

  3. Love this purple. I've been looking for a color like this for a while so this is very timely.

  5. Beautiful combo. Fancy Pants was one of my favorites from the Avant Garden collection last spring. I love that Pure Ice polish too. I need to shop my stash more too. This is also one of my oldest polishes and I had forgotten about how pretty it was. Thanks for the Way Cool Way Back Wednesday!

  6. I loooove PI Busted, though I don't use it as much as I should (thank you, large amount of untrieds). It adds such a pretty shimmer to just about any creme!

  7. When I bought Fancy Pants I was hoping it came out exactly like this, but it did not because the shimmer was to subtle. But you just create the manicure I always wanted before I bought Fancy Pants! It is amazing and even prettier than I hoped for.

  11. It does! I really think shimmer topcoats are amazing, but they definitely have been put on the backburner because of glitters lately.
