The Makeup Show experience for me is really an informative one. I'm a hobby blogger. I work hard on my blog, but my career and long-term interests are not with the cosmetic industry. I know it may not seem like The Makeup Show is really fit for me, but I get a lot out of it. The Makeup Show really opens my eyes to very welcoming, creative, passionate, and innovative brands and artists across this country.
This was like a backstage opportunity to see what really goes into a brand. Every booth I passed I encountered people who were so excited and passionate about their products. That is something I highly respect. Even though my dreams in life maybe different, to see others pursuing and sharing their dream with others is highly inspiring and admirable.
Through The Makeup Show I learned and discovered a lot of amazing products that I will be adding to my arsenal! I found better products to replace ones I was unhappy with and totally new products I'm excited to try. Nails also had a bigger role this year. There were a handful of brands who had nail polish lines which was very exciting for me to see!
The show not only features brand booths, but also has incredible seminars with even more incredible speakers. Some of the highlighted speakers were Billy B., Sutan Amrull, Toby Sells, Sharon Gualt, Johnny Lavoy, and Kathy Aragon.

For me, The Makeup Show is really humbling experience. I am not a pro blogger, makeup artist, or makeup addict, but The Makeup Show brings people together. I saw so many people connecting, relating, and sharing with one another based on a common interest. That is what I love most about blogging myself, connecting with you all. The Makeup Show really brought that full circle for me.
I really enjoyed the show this year and it was a great experience! Many thanks to Melody and James Vincent of The Makeup Show for welcoming bloggers to their amazing event.
Happy Friday!

ReplyDeleteI would love to go to an event like that. I too don't have aspirations for anything related to beauty career-wise but I get so much joy out of it that I think it would be an amazing experience to be able to go to something like this. Glad you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteLook at all of those polishes! Be still my ever loving polish heart.
